Speaking to members of the media, Kelly said "something came up" in regard to his health and he scheduled a visit with his doctors in New York City during the second week of August to get things checked out.

"I want to make sure everything is going on for the right reasons. I'm not sure what's going on. There's some things I want to have looked at. I don't know if I'm going to be there for two days, four days or in and out," Kelly said.

"It will be a checkup, but how long will I be there [until I] check out? We'll see," Kelly added.

Kelly added there's just "a little pain here [where] you think there shouldn't be anything." The 58-year-old has also had the issues looked at by doctors at ECMC in western New York.

Kelly recently had surgery in mid-June at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City. In September, he is scheduled to have permanent dentures inserted. Kelly was previously declared cancer free in September 2014.

On Wednesday, Kelly will be in Los Angeles to receive the Jimmy V Award at the ESPYs. Kelly said he plans to discuss the "four F's" of his life, faith, family, friends, and fans during his speech.
