Fresh off another solid season, Jonathan Allen is now headed to a Hall of Fame.

The Washington Redskins star will enter the Northern Virginia Football Hall Of Fame in March during a banquet. It's an event that has been running for 29 years and honors local products who volunteer and help football programs.

Allen, an Ashburn native, has been to the banquet once in the past thanks to his accolades in high school.

"It means a lot," Allen said, according to Redskins.com's Jake Kring-Schreifels. "When you look back at all the great players to come out of this area, and then to see me as one of those players is kind of unreal. So it's definitely a huge honor and a blessing for me to even be in a position to receive this award. It didn't seem real when I first heard the news. It's just a blessing."
