Even though they desperately need a quarterback, the Redskins could use the No. 15 pick in the 2019 NFL Draft to fill another glaring hole on their roster.

The Redskins could possibly draft an outside linebacker, especially since starter Preston Smith will likely leave in free agency.

Because of this possibility, ESPN's Mel Kiper believes that the Redskins will select Jachai Polite from Florida in the first round.

From Kiper's latest mock draft:

15. Washington Redskins

Jachai Polite, OLB, Florida

This is another potential landing spot for Kyler Murray. Alex Smith's scary injury put his future in jeopardy, and it wouldn't shock me if the Redskins added a young quarterback this offseason. Ultimately, I'm going with Polite, a perfect pass-rusher for a 3-4 defense who came on strong with 11 sacks this season. Former second-round pick Preston Smith has been inconsistent, and he's a free agent, so Polite makes sense as a replacement opposite Ryan Kerrigan. Safety is another position to watch, depending on what happens with free agent Ha Ha Clinton-Dix.

Polite brings some positional versatility as he can line up on the defensive line or at the linebacker position.

The Florida product measure's in at 6-foot-2, 242 pounds. He is an explosive edge-rusher, who is also effective in stopping the run. Appearing in thirteen games for Florida, Polite racked up 11 sacks, 19.5 tackles for a loss, 6 forced fumbles, and 45 total tackles.

By selecting Polite with their first-round selection, it would give Washington another building block on the defensive front. Plus he would be a great compliment to stand-out rookie Daron Payne.
