Odell Beckham Jr. is coming off the worst two-game stretch of his NFL career as the Cleveland Browns prepare to host the Seattle Seahawks, and it should come as no surprise that the star receiver is not thrilled with the way things are currently going.

Many expected Beckham to have a monster season now that he finally has a “real quarterback” throwing to him, but he has just 23 catches in five games and four for a total of 47 yards over his past two. One of those games was a blowout loss, while the other was a convincing win on the road. Beckham said Thursday that it is only in his nature to be bothered when he isn’t getting the ball and the results reflect it.

“Anytime we lose and I don’t feel like I did anything to help win the game, I’m gonna be frustrated,” Beckham said. “That’s just the bottom line. I have winning in my heart and I hate to lose.”

Beckham and Baker Mayfield have not been on the same page through the first month-plus of the season. A lot of that has to do with the lack of protection Mayfield has been getting from Cleveland’s offensive line, but the Browns have to find ways to get their most dynamic playmaker the ball if they want to improve upon the 3-point performance they had against the San Francisco 49ers on Monday.

While some people will take any frustration from Beckham and spin it to make him sound like a diva, this isn’t comparable to when OBJ was openly critical of Eli Manning last year. The Browns are playing well short of their potential, and they need to scheme up ways to get Beckham more involved. They’re far more likely to lose games when he catches two passes, whether the win is enough to satisfy him or not.
