The Baltimore Ravens and running back Justin Forsett have mutually parted ways, the team announced on Tuesday.

“Baltimore will always have a special place in my heart,” Forsett wrote in a tweet. “Love y’all & thank u (sic) for the amazing support over the years.”

Forsett, 30, had a career revival with the Ravens in 2015 after spending the first five years of his seven-year career in Seattle, Houston and Jacksonville. He shattered his career high with 1,266 rushing yards and eight touchdowns in 2014, then followed that up with 641 yards and two scores before breaking his arm in Week 11 and missing the last six games of the season.

He was cut at the conclusion of the pre-season, only to be brought back on a one-year deal. Through four games, he’s carried the ball just 31 times for 98 yards, ceding most of the load at running back to third-year pro Terrance West.

With West averaging 4.3 yards per carry, the Ravens seem to have found an effective runner, replacing the aging Forsett.
