The injury news for the Washington Redskins continues to get worse.

According to Ian Rapoport of NFL.com, Washington tight end Jordan Reed suffered a foot sprain that is not believed to be severe. However, given the timing and nature of the injury, he may not return before the end of the season.

Reed has been somewhat limited this season due to occasional injuries, but has still caught 54 passes and two touchdowns. His absence will pretty much wipe out the offensive weaponry for quarterback Josh Johnson as the team limps to the finish line. On the bright side, Reed won’t be subjected to this anymore and can watch the season crash and burn from a distance.
