Seattle Seahawks safety Kam Chancellor intends to play in 2018, providing he gets medical clearance from his neck injury, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.

Chancellor has seemed to be facing an uncertain future, as head coach Pete Carroll said "Cliff (Avril) and Kam are going to have a hard time playing football again," last month.

Rapoport adds that Chancellor no plans to retire. The $6.8 million he's owed for 2018 became fully guaranteed on Feb. 9.
