Patrick Mahomes is having an MVP season in his first full year as a starter, so he probably didn't expect his ketchup preferences to become one of the biggest stories of the year on social media. Mahomes admitted to ESPN that he loves putting ketchup on everything, including his steak, and has since been offered a lifetime supply of ketchup by Heinz if he throws 57 touchdowns.

Chiefs wide receivers Tyreek Hill and Gehrig Dieter launched the #PatMahomesChallenge on Twitter Friday, and we can only hope it doesn't become as popular as Roy Hibbert's legendary Gatorade challenge.

The dish? A ketchup sandwich on two slices of white bread - with extra ketchup.

Other Twitter users have taken to putting ketchup on whatever they happen to be eating, from bagels to watermelon.
