Veteran free-agent cornerback Richard Sherman is visiting with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, according to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero.

"Multiple contenders" have shown interest in Sherman, Pelissero adds, but the defending Super Bowl champions will get the first crack at signing him on Tuesday.

The Buccaneers showed interest in Sherman after starting corner Sean Murphy-Bunting dislocated his elbow in Week 1. Bunting was placed on injured reserve and is eligible to return after three weeks.

The Athletic's Joe Person reported over the weekend that the Carolina Panthers had reached out to Sherman following Jaycee Horn's foot injury. However, Carolina has since traded for C.J. Henderson, so it's unclear if they're still interested in Sherman.

The San Francisco 49ers and Seattle Seahawks are also interested in the veteran, according to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero.

Sherman spent the last three seasons with the 49ers after beginning his career with the Seahawks. He was limited to five games last season due to various injuries but was named a Pro Bowler in 2019 after recording three interceptions, 11 passes defensed and 61 tackles.
