What to Know
After a two-game homestand, the Washington Football Team will be on the road. They will take on the Buffalo Bills at 1 p.m. ET Sunday at Highmark Stadium. Washington will be seeking to avenge the 24-9 loss they suffered the last time these two teams played Nov. 3 of 2019.
Washington slipped by the New York Giants 30-29 last Thursday. No one had a standout game offensively for Washington, but they got scores from WR Terry McLaurin, RB J.D. McKissic, and TE Ricky Seals-Jones. QB Taylor Heinicke ended up with a passer rating of 145.30.
Special teams collected 12 points for Washington. K Dustin Hopkins delivered a perfect 3-for-3 game.
Meanwhile, Buffalo got themselves on the board against the Miami Dolphins last week, but Miami never followed suit. The Bills steamrolled past the Dolphins 35 to nothing on the road. The contest was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point Buffalo had established a 21 to nothing advantage. They can attribute much of their success to RB Devin Singletary, who punched in one rushing touchdown.
Buffalo's defense was a presence as well, as it embarrassed Miami's offensive line to sack the QB six times for a total loss of 37 yards. Leading the way was DE Gregory Rousseau and his two sacks. Those were the first sacks for Rousseau.
Washington is expected to lose this next one by 7. They have failed bettors playing the spread in all their past two games, so buyers beware.
Their wins lifted both teams to an identical 1-1. We'll see which team can carry over their success and which team inevitably falls when Washington and Buffalo clash.
