WEEI © Globe Staff/File WEEI The entire staff of WEEI radio will participate in “sensitivity training” Friday and live broadcasting will be canceled to allow all employees to attend, the station announced Wednesday.

“Nothing is more important to WEEI than the close-knit and diverse Boston community we call home, and we are committed to actively contributing to its betterment,” a statement issued by the station read.

“WEEI is in the process of closely reevaluating our policies and procedures in an effort to ensure that our programming is never intolerant or harmful to our listeners and our city,’’ the station added.

The training session will last from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., and all employees must attend, which led to the company’s decision to halt live broadcasting Friday.

Some advertisers have stopped working with WEEI since host Christian Fauria mocked Don Yee, the agent for Tom Brady and Jimmy Garoppolo, by using a racially stereotyped Asian accent during last Friday’s broadcast.

The station suspended Fauria for five days. He has apologized on his Twitter account.
