The Bruins defeated the Maple Leafs 6-4 on Wednesday night at Scotiabank Arena in front of 19,637 fans ... and one potential curse.

Canada's No. 1 fan Drake was in attendance sporting his Maple Leafs jersey and cheering on his hometown team. Nothing wrong with that, except for the one fact that the entertainer is a known curse.

Does Maple Leafs head coach Mike Babcock agree? No, not at all.

"That’s probably about the craziest thing I’ve ever heard," he said on a conference call Thursday. "I’ve heard lot of things since I’ve come here but that’s one of the craziest things. The game is played on the ice by us. There’s no curse whatsoever. We’re in a series and it’s a good series and we’re excited to be in it and excited to have the opportunity. Anytime anybody wants to come and support us, we’re all in."

Now, does everyone lose when Drake cheers for them? Of course not, but the precedent has been set.

Here Drake cheers on Serena Williams at the 2015 U.S. Open. Williams lost to unranked Roberta Vinci in the semifinals in shocking fashion — 2-6, 6-4, 6-4. Did I mention she was rolling up until that point? And was going for the calendar Grand Slam?

This was taken at the Final Four in 2014. Drake was cheering on the Kentucky Wildcats. They won that game but lost the championship to Connecticut. Since this game, the Wildcats have not won a national championship — and do we even need to discuss the career of Johnny Manziel?
