NBC Sports' Pierre McGuire, like many other NHL commentators these days, has a great spot to work during games, as he's usually stationed between the two benches.

That plot of real estate allows him to be so close to the action and pick up the feel of what's going on during play and relate that to the folks back home who are watching from their couch.

It also can put him in a dangerous spot, like it did during Monday night's game between Columbus-Tampa Bay game when a puck came so close to hitting him square in the head.
