Blues GM Doug Armstrong has been widely praised for the job he's done in guiding St. Louis to within one game of its first Stanley Cup.

But he momentarily lost his cool Tuesday afternoon at Boston's TD Garden, one day ahead of the Blues' Game 7 meeting with the Bruins. After Boston's practice ran a little long, Armstrong apparently grew frustrated with the pace of the Bruins' crew resurfacing the ice, and tried to expedit the process.

According to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, Armstrong, who was watching from the stands, yelled, "Let's get the ice ready. Do your f------ job."

As Armstrong walked away, the Post-Dispatch noted one of the drivers said, "You could be a little bit nicer about it. Who pissed in your cereal?"

Armstrong reportedly later returned and apologized to the workers.

You can't blame Armstrong if he's a little on edge. The Blues had a chance to clinch their first Stanley Cup on Sunday night at home, but lost 5-1. Now it comes down to Game 7.

Armstrong, who assumed the Blues GM post in 2010, is the presumed favorite to win the NHL General Manager of the Year Award when it's announced next week. He already won the award in 2011-12.
