Grace McCallum finished fourth at the U.S. Olympic Trials in June behind Simone Biles, Sunisa Lee and Jordan Chiles. She scored 112.564 with strong performances on vault both days.
The 18-year-old also finished fourth on floor exercise and fifth on balance beam and uneven bars. McCallum was selected by committee to round out the four-woman team competing for the U.S. at the Tokyo Olympics. That team claimed the silver medal behind the team from Russia.
She started gymnastics in 2006, and has been competing on the national and international stage as an elite gymnast since 2017. At the 2021 U.S. Championship, McCallum earned a bronze medal on balance beam.

McCallum competed in the event, individual and team qualification in Tokyo on Sunday. On Tuesday, July 27, the U.S. women's team claimed the silver medal after Simone Biles withdrew from the event with a 'medical issue.'
