Broncos RB Phillip Lindsay suffers concussion vs. Chiefs

Broncos running back Phillip Lindsay suffered a concussion in the second quarter of Sunday’s game against the Chiefs. Lindsay left the game after taking a helmet-to-helmet hit and he was examined in a medical tent on the sideline. Lindsay then left the tent and went to the locker room. He was ruled out with a concussion at halftime. The helmet-to-helmet collision was not penalized but should have been. Before leaving the game, Lindsay rushed nine times for 79 yards, averaging almost nine yards per carry. He’ll be replaced by Melvin Gordon, who has rushed seven times for 38 yards so far. With Lindsay sidelined, Royce Freeman will get more action as well
