And a surprise at the end!

Today’s Freedom Kicks is a little late, but for good reason! It brings you a special treat at the end, so read on through and enjoy MLS Cup week!

The fact that Zlatan beat Wayne Rooney and had no effect on the LA Galaxy’s actual fortunes this year is a disgrace. As Ron Swanson would say:

Water is wet, sky is blue, USSF is terrible. The US Soccer Foundation alleges that USSF cut of all ties and wants them to change their name so that (allegedly) USSF can use that name to profit off of the 2026 World Cup.

They put a bird on it.

And here is your surprise for being good and dear readers: an extra Filibuster this week! We talk to friends from Stumptown Footy and Dirty South Soccer is get the lowdown on why we, enlightened D.C. United fans, should root for either one of their teams in this weekend’s game. Give it a listen!
