Editor’s note: This post has been updated with new information.

From low-budget to ultra-luxury, there’s a Hilton property for just about everyone. The global Hilton portfolio includes 18 brands and over 6,000 hotels.

And thankfully, when it comes to cobranded credit cards, American Express offers Hilton travelers a variety of choices in that arena, too. There are actually four Amex Hilton credit cards and three of them have new, elevated offers.

Let’s take a closer look at the refreshed offers on these Hilton cobranded card products with elevated offers and waived annual fees.

Latest welcome offer

  • Earn 130,000 points after you spend $2,000 in purchases on the card in the first three months of card membership.

TPG Hilton points at 0.6 cents each, on average. With 130,000 points, you shouldn’t have trouble achieving a value of $780 in Hilton stays. This card normally incurs a $95 annual fee (see rates and fees), but it’s currently waived the first year. This offer expires Aug. 25, 2021.

With this card, you’ll also earn 12x points per dollar spent at participating Hilton properties; 6x points at U.S. supermarkets, U.S. restaurants and U.S. gas stations; and 3x points on all other eligible purchases. Terms Apply.

The card comes with some nice perks, including 10 Priority Pass lounge access passes each year, a weekend-night reward after you spend $15,000 on eligible purchases each calendar year, complimentary Hilton Gold elite status and a pathway to earning Hilton Diamond status. (enrollment required).

Read our Hilton Amex Surpass review for full details on the card.

Latest welcome offer

  • Earn 130,000 points after you spend $3,000 in purchases on the card in the first three months of card membership.
  • Earn up to $100 in statement credits on eligible purchases at any of the Hilton family of hotels within the first 12 months of card membership.

Again, TPG estimates Hilton points to be worth 0.6 cents each, on average — making this 130,000-point bonus worth $780 in Hilton stays. The card’s $95 annual fee (see rates and fees) isn’t waived like the Amex Hilton Surpass, but the current offer does come with a statement credit worth up to $100 at Hilton hotels within the first 12 months. This offer expires Aug. 25, 2021.

With this card, you’ll also earn 12x points at participating Hilton properties; 6x points on select business and travel purchases; and 3x points on all other eligible purchases. Terms Apply.

The card comes with some nice perks, including 10 Priority Pass lounge access passes, a weekend night reward after you spend $15,000 on eligible purchases each calendar year (plus the ability to earn a second certificate by spending $60,000 on eligible purchases in a calendar year), complimentary Hilton Gold elite status and a pathway to earning Hilton Diamond status. (enrollment required).

Latest welcome offer

  • Earn 100,000 points after you spend $1,000 in purchases in the first three months of card membership.
  • Earn up to $100 in statement credits on eligible purchases made on the card at any of the Hilton family of hotels in the first 12 months of card membership.

This card’s 100,000-point welcome offer is worth $600 according to TPG valuations. Tack on the $100 statement credit, and you’re looking at a $700 bounty. It’s not often we see a no-annual-fee card (see rates and fees) with an offer this high. This offer expires Aug. 25, 2021.

With this card, you’ll earn 7x points per dollar spent on eligible purchases at Hilton hotels; 5x points per dollar spent on eligible purchases on dining at U.S. restaurants, U.S. supermarkets and U.S. gas stations; and 3x points per dollar on all other eligible purchases. Terms Apply.

This entry-level card also offers automatic Hilton Honors Silver status (with an upgrade to Gold when you spend $20,000 on eligible purchases in a calendar year), ShopRunner membership and no foreign transaction fees (see rates and fees), also a rarity for a card with no annual fee. (enrollment required).

Read our Hilton Honors American Express review for additional details on the card.

Bottom line

We’ve seen similar bonuses from the Hilton credit card lineup in the past. But it’s great to see Hilton offering to waive or offset annual fees to make these travel cards accessible to those just beginning their points-and-miles journey. Annual fees can be a major hurdle for those new to travel rewards, and the above offers are essentially risk-free. They’re some of the highest bonuses we’ve seen for Hilton cards, as well!

130,000 bonus points are enough to get you started on some amazing Hilton redemptions, including luxury stays at resorts such as the Conrad Bora Bora Nui Resort & Spa. For a more budget-friendly redemption closer to home, there’s the refurbished Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles (I stayed at this property in 2020 for just 42,000 points per night).

You could also look ahead to next winter and book the Hilton DoubleTree in Highline Vail, which runs about 80,000 points per night during the winter. Also, remember that you’ll get a fifth night free on reward stays as a Hilton elite member — which is included with any of these Hilton Amex cards.

If you’ve been waiting for the right moment to apply for a Hilton card, now might be that time. Keep in mind that Amex has a “one per card per lifetime” policy for earning welcome bonuses, so you may want to double-check that you’re eligible to earn this elevated bonus before you hit the apply button. Thankfully, having had one type of Hilton Amex card doesn’t prevent you from getting a different one as your needs change and you may be ready to get back to traveling.
