Earlier this week, the best-ever publicly available bonus on the Chase Sapphire Preferred Card ended.

But there is still one way to get it: A referral link.

As of this story’s publication time, you can earn 100,000 Ultimate Rewards points after spending $4,000 within the first three months by applying for the Chase Sapphire Preferred through an existing referral link.

Referral links with the 100,000 bonus must have already been created prior to the end of the publicly available offer. Links that are newly made at Chase’s dedicated refer-a-friend page will not show the 100,000-point bonus.

Instead, you’ll see a lower, 60,000-point offer after spending $4,000 in the first three months of card membership. That’s the same bonus when you apply for the Chase Sapphire Preferred through TPG. Worth $1,200 according to TPG”s latest valuations, 60,000 Ultimate Rewards points are nothing to sneeze at.

Of course, if you can still snag a 100,000-point offer, that’s surely your best bet. However, don’t expect this to last long as it is subject to being pulled by Chase at any time.

The $95-per-year Chase Sapphire Preferred is one of the best, if not the best, travel rewards cards for beginners and experts alike. The sign-up bonus on the card has long been 60,000 points and almost all channels have reverted to that lower offer.

But if you have a friend or family member with an existing referral link, it’ll be worthwhile to see if you can still get the higher bonus. And if you apply through that link, that referrer will also get 20,000 Ultimate Rewards points.

There’s a reason the Chase Sapphire Preferred has been around for over a decade and is still highly regarded while other cards have come and gone.

Whether you get the card at 100,000 points or not, there is incredible long-term value in having a Sapphire Preferred. With generous earning rates and the ability to redeem some of the most valuable points around, the card is a keeper for the long haul.
