The Trump administration’s shifting lines on Qasem Soleimani’s ‘imminent threat’

Initially, the Trump administration said Iranian Major Gen. Qasem Soleimani was plotting an “imminent” attack on U.S. facilities. Then it was an attack on the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad before it was an attack on four U.S. embassies. Now less than two weeks after the strike that killed Soleimani, the Trump administration is backtracking again.
