Ryan Grantham, whose credits involve "Diary of a Wimpy Kid" and "Riverdale," has been sentenced to life in prison for the slaying his mother.

Prosecutors said the former actor, 24, confessed to killing his mother in his own GoPro camera after the 2020 incident.

"I shot her in the back of the head. In the moments after, she would have known it was me," he said, according to TMZ.

Prosecutors alleged that Ryan shot his mother in the back of the head as she played piano.

Six months ago, Ryan pleaded guilty to a second-degree murder for the death of his mom, Barbara Waite. On Wednesday, Sept. 21, a judge in British Columbia, Canada, threw the book at him, giving him life behind bars. She called the case "life-shattering."

The situation could have been worse, too. Prosecutors claim that Ryan had aspirations of assassinating Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, as well. In fact, one day after his mother's death, Ryan loaded his car with guns, ammunition, Molotov cocktails, and directions to the Prime Minister's home. He even wrote about his plans for Trudeau in his dairy.

CBC.ca reported that Ryan thought about carrying out a mass shooting while driving to Trudeau's home. However, he aborted his plans and turned himself into Vancouver police.

The judge, Kathleen Ker, said it was a  "saving grace" that Ryan did not follow through with his thoughts.

Ryan — who played Jeffery Augustine in "Riverdale" and Rodney James in "Diary of a Wimpy Kid" — will not be eligible for parole for 14 years.
