Kim Possible first look: Stars discuss importance of friendship

2/14/2019

© Jeff Weddell/Disney Channel   Kim Possible and her friends will encounter some pretty outrageous adventures in the upcoming live-action original movie, but some of the problems that Team Possible face will be very relatable to viewers. In the live-action version of the fan-favorite animated series, friendship, trust and loyalty are all a significant part of the storyline.

In the film, Kim embarks on her freshman year of high school, all the while saving the world from evil villains. No big deal.

The series stars newcomer Sadie Stanley as Kim Possible; Sean Giambrone ("The Goldbergs") plays best friend Ron Stoppable; and Issac Ryan Brown ("Raven's Home") plays tech-genius Wade. Fans of the original series will recognize Nancy Cartwright (The Simpsons) in her role as the voice of Rufus the Naked mole-rat.

In this video clip, seen first on MSN TV, the young stars of the movie describe the importance of friendship, in real life and on screen. "You should be there for each other, even if they are succeeding more than you," says Ciara Wilson, who plays Athena, a character that's new to the live-action series.
