Arsenio Hall better find a way to re-cork that champagne. Three months after his late-night show was renewed, The Arsenio Hall Show has now been canceled, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The syndicated talk show was picked up for a second season in February — an announcement that was made on-air by Jay Leno in his first post-Tonight Show appearance. However, the cancellation comes after several station groups, including Tribune Co. and Sinclair Broadcast Group, had downgraded the series from its respective time slots due to declining ratings.

"Unfortunately, The Arsenio Hall Show will not return for a second season; while there are many loyal fans of the show, the series did not grow its audience enough to continue," CBS Television Distribution said in a statement Friday. "Arsenio is a tremendous talent and we'd like to thank him for all the hard work and energy he put into the show. We'd also like to thank Tribune and all our station group partners for their support of the show."

This was Hall's second chance on the late-night circuit after hosting a show of the same name from 1989 until 1994. "When I started this adventure with CTD and Tribune, we all knew it would be a challenge -- I'm gratified for the year we've had and proud of the show we created," Hall said in a statement. "I'd like to thank everyone on my staff for rallying around me and striving to make the best show possible every night."
