Bravo Developing 5 New Unscripted Projects, Including 'Truman Show'-Like Series

By Jethro Nededog

Bravo has announced that it's in development on five unscripted series, including one that sounds like the Jim Carrey movie, "The Truman Show."

An early adapter of interactive social media, Bravo is developing what it's calling the "ultimate choose-your-own-adventure with "Crowd Control" (working title). On the show, a host's day-to-day living will be controlled by viewers via social media — from what they eat to who they date to the job they take will be decided entirely by the show's audience. LOUD TV is producing the show with Nick Rigg and Brent Montgomery serving as executive producers.

Additionally, the cable network is developing a series about female CEOs currently titled "Fempire," a series featuring New York fitness trainers with working title "The Fit Club," a social experiment featuring exes and whether they can rekindle their relationships, and a series set in what's apparently the hot new wealthy city of Minot, N.D. presently titled "Why Not, Minot?."

These are in addition the ambitious slate Bravo released in early April during its upfront presentation to advertisers, which included a wedding spinoff for "Real Housewives of Atlanta's" Kandi Burruss, a new series starring "Top Chef's' Tom Colicchio from Gordon Ramsay and a real-time unscripted series from Fremantle Media North America, among many others.
