By Kat Giantis Slide 1 of 7

OK, Internet, take a few deep breaths, preferably into a paper bag, because Ryan Gosling may (we, repeat, may) be back on the market. Two tabloids claim that the actor has called it quits with Eva Mendes after more than two years of togetherness."There is no ill will," a source tells In Touch (via the Daily Mail). "Neither is rushing out to date other people right now."The pretty pair purportedly parted ways around Christmas, a few months after rift rumors surfaced about his supposed moodiness and her apparent insecurities. "They just knew it was time," an insider tells Life & Style,The tabs blame the ostensible split on differences in lifestyle ("She loves going out," while he's a "total homebody") and expectations (he's supposedly ready for a family, but she isn't)."They knew it was time to take the next step and get married," alleges a spy, "but neither was sure they wanted that to happen."Ryan, 33, and Eva, 39, who hooked up while filming "The Place Beyond the Pines" in 2011, haven't been photographed together in several months. This week, the under-the-radar relationship returned to the spotlight after a report claimed that the actress had opted out of going through a body-scanning machine at LAX by saying she was pregnant. Her rep insisted the incident never happened. As for the split rumblings, Mendes' mouthpiece downplays that the rumors are just that -- rumors.Gosling has been lying low recent months, and Life & Style believes he's "packed up and moved back to Canada for a while. He felt like he needed to be out of the limelight to refocus."This isn't the first time breakup rumors have surfaced for the couple. And as you daydream about a possible Rachel McAdams reunion for Gosling (don't even bother to deny it), click on for more photos of his romance with Eva ...
