Casey Kasem, Legendary Radio Personality, Is Missing

By Matthew Bramlett

Legendary radio personality and voice actor Casey Kasem is missing and may be out of the country.

A representative for Kasem's daughter Kerri, Danny Deraney, confirmed the famed deejay's disappearance to TheWrap.

Los Angeles Superior Court judge Daniel Murphy earlier on Monday ordered an investigation into the 82-year-old Kasem's whereabouts after Craig Marcus, an attorney filling in for Kasem's wife Jean, said that Kasem was out of the country, the Associated Press reports.

"I have no idea where he is," Marcus said.

TheWrap reached out to Marcus, but he declined comment

Kasem has been in ailing health in the past few months. The entertainer has been suffering from advanced Parkinson's disease to the point that he has been unable to speak. Kasem's children have also been in the middle of a visitation battle with Jean Kasem, claiming that Mrs. Kasem has been barring the children from seeing the radio DJ and moving him to different hospitals without notice.

In addition to his radio work, Kasem has also been a voice actor, most notably providing the voice of Shaggy in the "Scooby-Doo" cartoon series.
