By Jessica Wedemeyer Slide 1 of 6

Cassadee Pope is eagerly anticipating what could be a highlight of her career: the 2014 CMT Music Awards. The country cutie, who's set to perform at CMA Fest on June 5, is up for two awards: Female Video of the Year and Breakthrough Video of the Year. But rather than focusing on her career achievements in the lead up to the June 4 award show, Cassadee is volunteering her time to help others. The "Wasting All These Tears" singer teamed up with fellow country stars Toby Keith, Reba McEntire and Martina McBride to record anthem "Give 'Em Hope," sales of which benefit Outnumber Hunger's campaign with Feeding America. While gearing up for one of country music's biggest nights, Cassadee chatted with Wonderwall about her work with Outnumber Hunger, all things CMT Awards, how she makes her long-distance relationship work, why Taylor Swift totally blew her mind and more! Keep reading for the highlights.RELATED:Breakout country music starsCassadee Pope on Taylor Swift and her most epic CMT Music Awards moment:"I ran into Taylor Swift backstage -- we had met briefly at the ACMs a while before that -- and she told me that she loves my new single and was kinda treating me like a peer. I was like, wow, I'm running into people like Taylor Swift and they're treating me like a normal person! That's crazy."
