CBS will launch the biggest consumer marketing push for its CBS All Access service to date early next year around the Feb. 19 premiere of “The Good Fight,” the first original scripted series to bow on the Eye’s streaming service.

CBS confirmed Wednesday the launch date for the “The Good Fight.” The marketing push for “Good Fight” will focus on tune-in for the show, which will effectively market All Access because the series will be exclusive to the SVOD service following its first episode airing simultaneously on the mothership CBS broadcast network. “Good Fight” episodes will be available on a weekly basis on Sundays, sticking with the traditional linear-style rollout rather releasing all episodes at once a la streaming rivals Netflix and Amazon.

“CBS All Access has built tremendous momentum in the past year – passing one million subscribers, launching our first original with ‘Big Brother: Over the Top’ and, most recently, bringing live NFL ON CBS programming to the service,” said Marc DeBevoise, president-COO of CBS Interactive. “We’re continuing this momentum with the upcoming launch of ‘The Good Fight which promises to not only deliver more ambitious premium programming for our subscribers but an opportunity for world-class creators like Robert and Michelle King to push the envelope in new ways.”

CBS last week struck a deal with the NFL to allow the Eye to steam all of its NFL games on All Access — another selling point for the service. Previously, pro football games had been blacked out on All Access since its debut in October 2014.

“Good Fight” storyline picks up a year after the events in the “Good Wife” finale, which aired in May. The new series revolves around the Diane Lockhart character played by  Christine Baranski. Cush Jumbo, Rose Leslie, Delroy Lindo, Sarah Steele, Paul Guilfoyle, Bernadette Peters, Justin Bartha and Erica Tazel also star.

“Good Wife” creators Robert and Michelle King are exec producers and showrunners of “Good Fight.” Phil Alden Robinson co-wrote and exec produced the premiere episode with the Kings. Ridley Scott, David Zucker, Liz Glotzer, Brooke Kennedy and Alison Cross are also exec producers. Kennedy directed the premiere episode.
