Courtney Love plans return to acting

6/17/2014

Rocker Courtney Love plans to put her music career on the back burner to focus on acting. The Hole frontwoman has enjoyed several movie roles over the years, most notably her Golden Globe-nominated performance as Hustler boss Larry Flynt's junkie wife Althea in 1996 movie The People vs. Larry Flynt. Her last screen role was in 2010 Western film Straight to Hell Returns, and after recently missing out on a role in an unidentified Broadway play, Love is desperate to reignite her acting career. She tells Q magazine, "Rock 'n' roll is great, and I'm good at it, and I like myself onstage better than I like myself in real life and all that stuff. But I really, really like acting. As I get older, the acting is something I want to do a lot more of."
