Couture galore: Vote on the fashion hits and misses at the 2014 Met Gala

This year's Costume Institute Gala at New York's Metropolitan Museum of Art honored famed American couturier Charles James. As such, the red carpet called for old-school, over-the-top ballgowns and glamorous accouterments. But like last year's haphazardly interpreted punk rock directive, mistakes were made. Oh, man, were they ever made.Among them (and this truly pains us): Lupita Nyong'o, whose fashion winning streak screeched to a halt when she arrived at the Met Gala decked out as a flapper caught in an electrified fishing net. The Oscar winner's emerald-green Prada dress with brown underlay has a little bit of everything -- feathers, glass beads, crystals and chandelier drops. What it actually needed: restraint.
