Craziest Bond stunts

Slide 1 of 9

10 eye-popping moments from 007By Bryan Reesman Special to MSN MoviesWith the latest James Bond epic "Skyfall," and one of the things aficionados of the 50 year-old series look forward to is the number and variety of epic stunts that command the screen. We're not just talking 007's easy way with the ladies but the cliffhanger scenarios he always finds himself in (sometimes literally) as he pursues and battles adversaries on trains, planes, cranes, automobiles and beyond. These fighting feats often leaves us shaken and stirred out of our seats. To celebrate the return of our favorite secret agent, we take a look at his ten craziest stunt sequences and salute the brave stuntmen who have taken a wild ride for us. The Bond catalog is filled with incredible moments and making the list was no easy feat; dangerousness and inventiveness were both considered. An important criteria here is that no CGI or optical effects (other than insert shots) were used to simulate something. That means that the digital effects overdrive of "Die Another Day" and the motorcycle jump over the helicopter in "Tomorrow Never Dies" (blades inserted via CGI) do not qualify, as cool as they look. To delve into the stunts and find out more about them, check out the handsomely packaged "Bond 50" Blu-ray box set from MGM/Fox Home Video featuring all 22 films in the series. The stories behind the stunts are pretty fascinating and well-documented in each movie's special features. Which Bond flick is your favorite? Share with MSN Movies on Facebook and Twitter.
