Fox brought down the humor hammer on Wednesday, canceling "Dads," "Enlisted," "Surviving Jack" and "Rake" in one fell swoop.

Additionally, the network passed on comedy pilots "No Place Like Home," "Fatrick" and "Dead Boss." Discussion continues around remaining pilots "Sober Companion" and "Cabot College," the network said.

"Dads" started off with controversy before the pilot even aired, and ended with series low ratings — including a 1.0 in the advertiser-sought 18-49 demographic.

"Enlisted" also saw its share of criticism — though that was surrounding the plot.
