Debunking the week's tabloid stories

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s marriage is finally “over,” reveals OK! on the cover of its latest issue. The publication writes that “after a miserable drama-filled year of being at each other’s throats,” Kardashian spent a long time “mulling” over a split, and is now set for her third divorce. The magazine reports the reality star had enough of West’s “crazy spending,” “long absences,” “obsessive tinkering” on their estate, and “lax parenting” with their kids.

“She’s had the paperwork done for six months and is ready to change the locks,” a pal tells the outlet. The source maintains this wasn’t an “overnight decision,” but the “straw that broke the camel’s back” was Kardashian’s robbery, which still upsets her because “[West] wasn’t there to protect her.” And following his breakdown, offers the publication’s insider, “[Kardashian] realized she didn’t love him anymore,” and “made up her mind” to leave him.

Interestingly, two weeks ago Gossip Cop busted OK! for wrongly reporting Kris Jenner suggested Kardashian dump West, but she wanted to “stand by her man.”

Now that same tabloid alleges she’s had the divorce paperwork ready for six months? Right. Yet, not only did the couple just spend Christmas together, but a Kardashian confidante also assures Gossip Cop she has no imminent plans to file for divorce, and that this week’s cover story is “false.”

© Gossip Cop Katie Holmes and Jamie Foxx had a secret wedding in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, reports Star. The publication writes the pair secretly eloped earlier this month in a private ceremony attended by only the actress’s daughter, Suri, and the actor’s daughter, Annalise.

A source tells the magazine, “They exchanged vows the same day they arrived, right on the sand on a private beach. It was just Katie, Jamie and the kids, who could not be more adorable flower girls.” The outlet’s insider goes on to reveal Suri “made sure to text some lovely photos of her mom and Jamie all dressed up” to her dad, Tom Cruise, who surprisingly “sent back a touching message saying how glad he is that they are happy.”

Next up for Foxx and Holmes will be a New Year’s Eve bash to celebrate their marriage at the actor’s Los Angeles home, notes the magazine, whose insider adds, “The guest list will include Leonardo DiCaprio, Jay Z and Beyonce, as well as Katie’s old ‘Dawson’s Creek’ buddies.”

Gossip Cop, however, checked in with reps for Holmes and Foxx, both of whom exclusively assure us the two aren’t secretly married, there wasn’t a secret wedding ceremony in Cabo, and there won’t be a New Year’s Eve party to celebrate their nonexistent nuptials. Gossip Cop previously busted the tabloid when it falsely claimed Holmes was pregnant, so this comes as no surprise.

National Enquirer © Gossip Cop National Enquirer Angelina Jolie is on the brink of being hospitalized, reveals the National Enquirer. According to the publication, Jolie is just 76 pounds and “dying.” The magazine further reports, “Stressed-out over her brutal breakup from Brad Pitt, an emaciated Angelina Jolie is on the verge of a mental meltdown, and a return trip to the loony bin.”

A source tells the outlet, “Angie feels and looks like she’s becoming unhinged. She rages for hours about what a horrible father Brad was, and she spends her days poisoning the kids against him and letting her health go to hell!” The publication goes on to state Jolie is suffering from panic attacks, refusing to eat, and engaging in “desperate and erratic” behavior. A doctor is even quoted as telling the magazine that Jolie’s weight has “gone past the point of safety.”

Of course the Enquirer is the same tabloid Gossip Cop busted in January when it wrongly claimed Jolie was “82 pounds and refusing to eat,” and when it falsely contended last year that she was 83 pounds and “dying.” The only thing that’s gone lower than what the magazine alleges is the actress’s weight is its own reporting. A rep for Jolie exclusively tells Gossip Cop that talk of her being on the brink of a “meltdown” and ending up in the hospital is totally “not true.”

© Gossip Cop Denzel Washington addicted to cocaine? The National Enquirer reports the two-time Oscar winner had a white powdery substance in one of his nostrils at the Los Angeles premiere of his new film, Fences.

A source on the scene tells the publication that Washington “looked bug-eyed and keyed up” at the movie premiere, adding, “Denzel’s eyes wouldn’t focus, and he looked anxious. He clearly didn’t seem like his usual ultra-cool self. Something was going on!”

The magazine’s insider also notes that the actor’s alleged drug problem is taking a toll on his nearly 34-year marriage to wife Pauletta. “This marriage is on its last legs,” says the outlet’s source. “This could be the straw that breaks the camel’s back.”

Gossip Cop, however, checked in with Washington’s rep, who exclusively assures us the tabloid’s report is “all false.” We’re told the actor doesn’t have a cocaine problem, and he certainly wasn’t high on the substance at the Fences premiere. This is simply a non-issue.

Unfortunately, we’re not surprised by the tabloid’s bogus story. Gossip Cop previously called out the Enquirer for publishing a misleading report that tried to fool readers into falsely believing Washington once strangled Aretha Franklin. This latest tale about the actor is equally untrue.

© Gossip Cop Kristen Stewart and Stella Maxwell have a toxic relationship, reveals OK!. The publication reports the actress and model are involved in “an exhausting cycle of partying and jealousy.”

A source even tells the magazine, “Stella is an absolute wild child. She was too fast for Miley Cyrus, and Kristen is much more delicate and doesn’t handle booze as well.” The outlet’s insider adds, “Kristen gets really possessive, and Stella seems to enjoy messing with her. She purposely flirts with other girls in front of Kristen. Kristen’s friends can see that this will end badly. They’re a train wreck waiting to happen.”

But, Gossip Cop checked in with a source close to the situation, who exclusively assures us the tabloid’s story is simply “false.”

Unfortunately, we’re not surprised by the magazine’s phony claim. Gossip Cop previously busted OK! when it wrongly reported that Stewart was engaged to Alicia Cargile. And shortly before that piece of fiction, we debunked the tabloid’s sister publication, Star, for its tall tale about Stewart being rude to the staff at a Mexican restaurant. There was no truth to those stories, and the same goes for this latest article.
