Eric Dane dubs wife and daughters 'estrogen mafia,' dishes on 10th wedding anniversary

We know him as McSteamy, but to three very important ladies, Eric Dane is just … McDaddy. The father of two girls, whose wife is "Jawbreaker" actress Rebecca Gayheart, is returning to television on June 22 in TNT's "The Last Ship." In his first major gig since leaving "Grey's Anatomy" in 2012, the sexy star will portray a naval commander tasked with finding a cure to a global pandemic. Leading up to the show's premiere, Eric chatted with Wonderwall about his family -- affectionately dubbed "the estrogen mafia," the secret to his long-lasting Hollywood marriage, how he almost lost an eye on the set of "The Last Ship" and more. I knew we were beholden to the Navy to work with their schedule [depending on] the ship they allowed us to shoot on. We had to get the pilot done pretty quickly, and then I had a year off between shooting the pilot and shooting the actual series. Then I took a nice long break and spent some time with my family."On being a normal, boring dad between acting jobs:"It was just nice to hang out and get into a normal routine of waking up with the kids [daughters Billie Beatrice and Georgia], having breakfast with them, taking my daughter to school, going to the gym and training, and then just kind of lazing around the house and spending time with the kids."
