The iconic modern house featured in 1986 film Ferris Bueller's Day Off is officially off the market after selling for $1.06 million (£632,306), less than half of the initial $2.3 million (£1.37 million) asking price when it was put up for sale in 2009. The Highland Park, Illinois abode was used as the titular character's best friend Cameron Frye's (Alan Ruck) home, where he sends a 1961 Ferrari crashing through the auto pavilion's plate glass windows and into a ravine below.
