Slide 1 of 13

These classic flicks from a colorful era are ripe for series successBy Vinnie PennSpecial to MSN TVLook, nobody's more surprised than this guy that "Teen Wolf" is a hit. I mean, it's not a comedy and he's not even playing basketball all wolfed-out (which I guess is redundant), so how is it working? Werewolves, vampires and zombies are all the rage for starters. But it's more than that. The MTV series took its time, is heavy on mood and brood and the titular lycanthrope is played by a guy adept at keying up the angst (it may help that his name is Posey). Rumor has it he may be destined for the Dark Knight's cowl, too. Many an '80s movie has either died a swift death as a TV series (remember when "Ferris Bueller" came to TV starring a then-unknown Jennifer Aniston), while still more never even got off the drawing board ("Beverly Hills Cop" or recently kiboshed "Heathers"). Here is a list of flicks from the Reagan era that are ripe for ripping off network style. The Season 3 finale of "Teen Wolf" airs Monday, Aug. 19, at 10 p.m. ET/PT on MTV.Bing: Michael J.
