Slide 1 of 15

A closer look at the unstoppable combination of America's favorite female comedians By Robert IsenbergSpecial to MSN TVTina Fey and Amy Poehler: They go together like peanut butter and jelly, Sonny and Cher, Crystal Light and water. They work fine on their own, but get them in a room together, and it's like a joke bomb exploded, sending burning pieces of mirth shrapnel everywhere. Fey the self-conscious nerd and Poehler the crazy woman -- an unstoppable combination. Not only are they super-close friends, but Fey and Poehler share a lot of projects, background and career highlights. Both grew up in the Northeast (Pennsylvania, Massachusetts). Both attended competitive colleges (UVA, Harvard). Both are married with two kids and spent time studying comedy in Chicago. There are major differences, of course: Amy Poehler can sing and rap, and Tina Fey has written a book.
