Inside the Kardashians' and Jenners' security makeover

In the space of five months, sisters Kim Kardashian West and Kendall Jenner were robbed of millions of dollars worth of jewelry -- and Kim, who was robbed at gunpoint in Paris in October, could have lost her life. Following a break-in at Kendall's home in the Hollywood Hills section of Los Angeles this month, the sisters' mom, Kris Jenner, confirmed to Us Weekly the whole family has increased their security precautions in a major way. "It's an eye-opener how many people have tried to access our homes," Kris said, adding that the family is now "protected to a crazy level." Kendall fired the security guard who had been watching her home when she was burgled almost immediately. Kim, meanwhile, had her employees undergo polygraph tests since police believed that robbery may have been an inside job. (They have also suggested Kendall's intruder knew how to get into her home.) "Everyone passed," a source close to Kim tells Us. The "Selfish" author has also set up a new security protocol outside her home in Bel Air. "You get patted down by security," says a friend. "It's intense."
