The director of La La Land is about to dance his way onto the small screen.

Oscar winner Damien Chazelle has signed on to directThe Eddy, a musical drama set in modern-day Paris, according to The Hollywood Reporter. It’s not clear whether the project will end up being a one-off movie or a limited series, but the script from Jack Thorne (Harry Potter and the Cursed Child) is currently being shopped around to cable networks and streaming services.

The plot centers on a music club in Paris, with the club’s owner and its house band coping with the volatile city that surrounds them. (Is it a old-school jazz club named Seb’s, by any chance?) Grammy-winning songwriter Glen Ballard and veteran producer Alan Poul (The Newsroom, Six Feet Under) are on board as executive producers.

Chazelle is one of the most in-demand filmmakers in Hollywood after winning the Oscar for Best Director in February for La La Land. He broke out in 2014 as the writer/director of Whiplash, the intense jazz-school drama that earned J.K. Simmons an Oscar for Best Supporting Actor. Chazelle’s next film project is a biopic of astronaut Neil Armstrong, reuniting him with La La Land star Ryan Gosling.
