Good Girls certainly don’t finish last: The NBC drama starring Mae Whitman and Retta has been greenlit at NBC, TVLine has learned.

The new series follows three financially challenged suburban moms who think robbing a local supermarket with a toy gun will make their money woes go away. “But when the manager catches a glimpse of one of them and the loot is far more than they expected,” per the official synopsis, “it doesn’t take long for the three best friends to realize the perfect getaway will be harder than they think.”

The cast includes Whitman (Parenthood), Retta (Parks and Recreation), Matthew Lillard (The Bridge), Manny Montana (Conviction) and Reno Wilson (Mike & Molly). Kathleen Rose Perkins (Episodes), who played Whitman’s character’s sister Beth in the original pilot, will be recast.

Jenna Banns (Scandal) will write; she’ll also executive-produce the series alongside Jeannine Renshaw (Grey’s Anatomy) and Dean Parisot (Justified). Universal TV will produce.
