6/17/2014

Rapper Mos Def has been forced to cancel his North American tour over immigration issues. The Brooklyn, New York native has been banned from re-entering the U.S. for undisclosed reasons, according to AllHipHop.com. He also had to scrap his performance at music festival Together Boston last week (ends18May14). A message on the Together Boston website read, "We regret to inform you that due to immigration / legal issues Yasiin Bey is unable to enter back into the United States and his upcoming U.S. tour has been canceled, including May 15th, Together Boston's show at The Wilbur Theatre..." Mos Def, birth name Dante Terrell Smith, adopted the moniker Yasiin Bey in 2012.
