Music manager and entrepreneur Rob Walker has joined the New York office of UTA Music where he will become an agent. He will focus on creating new opportunities for UTA-repped artists, including establishing partnerships across all areas of entertainment and building new businesses around clients.

Walker has been manager of The Neptunes producing duo Pharrell Williams and Chad Hugo, who together co-founded the Star Trak record label, and he helped launch the Ice Cream clothing line for Billionaire Boys Club with Williams and Japanese designer Nigo among other ventures.

“Rob is an established voice in the intersection of music, culture and brands, and his expertise and skill set will enhance our ability to create and seize new opportunities for artists,” UTA CEO Jeremy Zimmer said in the release announcing the hire.

Walker, Williams and Hugh along with Sean “P. Diddy” Combs launched Star Trak as their success grew. The label eventually moved to Interscope Records with Jimmy Iovine and among their first collaborations was on Snoop Dogg’s hit “Drop It Like It’s Hot.”

UTA Music reps live acts including Mariah Carey, Chris Brown, DJ Khaled, Guns ‘N Roses, Muse, Toby Keith and David Gilmour.
