NEW YORK (AP) — The European migrant crisis, environmental perils and the racial divide are among the issues confronted by winners of the 2017 Alfred I. duPont-Columbia University Awards honored for their work in broadcast, digital and documentary journalism.

Columbia's Graduate School of Journalism announced this year's 14 winners on Thursday.

They include local stations in Austin, Texas, Indianapolis and Atlanta, as well as public television's "Frontline" and "Nova" and two public radio stations.

CBS News and NBC News' "Dateline" also are honored, as are HBO and ESPN for documentaries.

Marking its 75th year, the awards will be presented on Jan. 25 at Columbia.
