Paul Walker's remains released to family after autopsy: Report

Ten days after the actor died in a car crash at age 40, his remains have finally been released to his family, TMZ reports.PHOTOS: Paul's life in the spotlightAccording to the site, Walker's remains were removed from the L.A. County Coroner's Office on Dec. 9, and transported to a local mortuary. Sources tell TMZ they're now with the late star's loved ones, who will decide how and when he'll be laid to rest.PHOTOS: Stars we've lost in 2013As previously reported, the "Fast & Furious" actor was killed on Nov. 30, when the 2005 Porsche Carrera GT in which he was a passenger crashed into a lamp post and burst into flames. An autopsy completed earlier this month indicated that the cause of death was a combination of "traumatic and thermal injuries" from both the impact of the accident and the resulting fire.PHOTOS: Stars gone too soonThe actor's friend Roger Rodas -- believed to be the driver -- was also killed in the crash; he died upon impact. Both deaths were ruled an accident by the medical examiner. Walker is survived by a 15-year-old daughter, Meadow; his father, Paul Walker III; his mother, Cheryl Walker; and his siblings.
