Rob Ford is finally seeking help.

Two Globe and Mail reporters said they were shown a video of the Toronto mayor smoking what a self-professed drug dealer said was crack cocaine. The newspaper said the video was secretly filmed in his Ford's sister's basement early Saturday morning.

When confronted, Ford said he would take a leave of absence from his duties as mayor and his campaign for re-election.

"I have decided to take a leave from campaigning and from my duties as Mayor to seek immediate help," he told the newspaper.

The self-proclaimed dealer recorded the video, the newspaper said. The dealer was seeking "at least six figures" for the video, one of three he made at around 1:15 Saturday morning. The newspaper said it did not buy the video, but purchased images from it at a lesser cost.

The Globe and Mail said the video shows Ford taking a "drag from a long copper-coloured pipe, exhaling a cloud of smoke and then frantically shaking his right hand."
