6/17/2014

Alternative rockers Mineral are reuniting for their first live shows in 17 years. The band, fronted by singer/guitarist Chris Simpson, has announced plans to celebrate its 20th anniversary with a series of comeback gigs across the U.S., kicking off the trek in New York on 5 September (14). A statement released by the stars reads: "Reconnecting with each other and this material for the first time in 17 years has been a real joy and pleasure. The shows will be the icing on the cake. "We are grateful for the opportunity and looking forward to getting to play for all the people who have loved us all along as well as the many who have discovered us posthumously along the way." Mineral, considered to be among the early pioneers of the emo rock genre, formed in 1994 and enjoyed success with songs like Gloria/Parking Lot and February/M.D.
