Syfy is going ahead with a "Sharknado" threepeat.

The cable network has given the greenlight to a third installment of its kitschy and biting film series.

The first "Sharknado," which premiered last July, created an intense buzz on social media.

The sequel, appropriately titled "Sharknado 2: The Second One," moves the shark-dropping action from Los Angeles to New York, but retains stars Ian Ziering and Tara Reid. (Matt Lauer and Al Roker also make cameos.)

The second "Sharknado" will premiere July 31.
