Sharon Osbourne: I didn't put my stomach before my beliefs

Sharon Osbourne has been a vocal supporter of the boycott against the iconic Beverly Hills Hotel over the harsh new sharia laws enacted by its owner, the sultan of Brunei -- laws that call for death by stoning for homosexuality and adultery. But has her appetite led her moral compass astray?

"Nobody can be seen going into the hotel, so Sharon and her staff have been ordering takeout food from the Beverly Hills Hotel's Fountain Coffee Room, then sending an assistant to pick it up," a source alleges to Page Six. "Sharon's home is around the corner. The hotel staff are shocked at the hypocrisy."

An employee confirmed to the paper that the "Talk" co-host had placed "more than one recent takeout order." Osbourne, however, insists no one in her household has succumbed to the siren song of the restaurant's double-decker club sandwich.

"It is categorically false that Ozzy Osbourne and I have ordered takeout food from the Beverly Hills Hotel since we started our boycott," she railed on her Facebook page. "First off, I have been out of the country for the past two weeks, so there’s not even the slightest possibility I could have placed a 'recent' food order as stated by hotel staff. Secondly, would I be foolish enough to order prepared food from a restaurant that has a gripe with me?"

As Sharon points out, "I've seen the [health code violation- and body fluid-filled] Ryan Reynolds [restaurant] movie 'Waiting.' For the record, I am continuing my boycott of the Dorchester Collection Hotels in opposition to the sultan of Brunei's implementation of Sharia Law. I would never back down from my beliefs, especially for a plate of food."
