Slide 1 of 12

A look back at Season 1, plus all the latest gossip on the new seasonBy Dave LakeSpecial to MSN TV"Smash" (premiering Feb. 5th at 9 p.m. ET/PT) wasn't exactly the smash NBC hoped it would become last season, but the show did find plenty of loyal viewers, some who tuned in because they were curious about the inner workings of Broadway and some who tuned in because they just couldn't resist the show's curious mix of soapy storylines, catchy show tunes and sexy stars. But in giving the series a creative overhaul as it sets out on its second season, NBC has made a number of changes, namely firing its creator, Theresa Rebeck, and replacing her with Josh Safran, who most recently worked on "Gossip Girl" and will oversee the show's creative vision this season.Season 2 of "Smash" premieres Tuesday, Feb. 5 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on NBC.Bing:More about 'Smash' | Video:Watch clips and moreAre you excited about the return of "Smash"?
