Tabloid stories of the week: Katie Holmes pregnant, battling over Suri?

Katie Holmes is pregnant with Jamie Foxx’s baby, and is set to marry the actor in a secret “paradise” beach ceremony, reports Star. The magazine writes that Foxx and Holmes have been dating for three years, and she’s now expecting his baby girl, which is why they’re fast-tracking a summer wedding.

According to a source for the publication, “Katie is probably three months along, so they’re moving full-speed ahead because she won’t be too big when they exchange vows.” “They’re going to make an announcement about the pregnancy at the wedding,” adds the publication’s insider. The outlet’s informant further notes the baby wasn’t planned, but they “always intended to have one after they got married.”

Star also reveals that Holmes’ ex-husband, Tom Cruise, with whom Foxx co-starred in 2004’s Collateral, “sent Katie, Jamie and [daughter] Suri a touching message saying how happy he is for them.” Additionally, the magazine says Foxx and Holmes’ wedding will take place in Hawaii, the actor will sing at the ceremony, and Suri will serve as the flower girl.

There’s one teeny mistake with the publication’s story: It’s all wrong. Gossip Cop checked in with reps for both stars, and Holmes’ spokesperson exclusively assures us the magazine’s cover story is “all lies,” while Foxx’s rep tells us the outlet’s premise is “completely untrue and totally fabricated.” There’s simply no wedding or pregnancy, nor is there a romance between Holmes and Foxx, as repeatedly (and wrongly) reported.

Prince left a suicide note prior to his tragic death in April, reports In Touch, which notes he intentionally overdosed on opioids before being discovered by two staffers at his Paisley Park estate. According to the magazine, the singer left a suicide note in one of his notebooks, but the person who found it didn’t tell the police because it’s “what the deeply private star would have wanted.”

A “close friend” of Prince tells the publication, “It was chilling and read simply: ‘Need something to make the pain stop, even if it means ending everything somehow. It’s time to go, I didn’t mean to leave soon. I didn’t meant to leave now. Love, Love, Love.’” The outlet’s insider adds, “He knew he would finally do himself in with a deadly dose of opiates.”

According to In Touch’s source, Prince had a death wish for quite some time, and was also “sick and tired of living” and contemplated suicide endlessly. “It was a heartbreaking final bow,” says the magazine’s informant. “As far as I’m concerned, Prince didn’t die of an accidental overdose.”

But as far as the truth is concerned, Gossip Cop can confirm that Prince’s death wasn’t at all intentional. The singer tragically succumbed to a powerful addiction to painkillers. He didn’t purposely take his life, nor did he leave any kind of suicide note. Gossip Cop checked in with an impeccable Prince source, who exclusively assures us that the tabloid’s story is simply “not true.”

Did Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani have a “secret wedding?” That’s what OK! is reporting on the cover of its latest issue. The magazine says the couple got married in mid-March at Shelton’s ranch in Oklahoma, where Stefani’s three boys served as ring bearers. “The pair gathered a small group of guests,” including Adam Levine, Pharrell, Jessica Alba, and Gwyneth Paltrow, for a “small party,” notes the publication.

But that’s not the only news. A source tells the magazine Stefani is “several months along with a daughter.”

Of course, this is coming from the same tabloid that Gossip Cop busted for falsely reporting earlier this year that Stefani was expecting twins. It’s also the same publication we corrected when it wrongly claimed Stefani and Shelton “split” in February. Despite the magazine’s spotty track record, we still checked in with reps for the two singers.

A spokesman for Stefani exclusively tells Gossip Cop that the “just married” cover story is “B.S.,” while Shelton’s similarly confirms the couple has not wed.

And, by the way, Stefani’s divorce from Gavin Rossdale is still not official, so she can’t legally wed Shelton yet anyway. Whoops!

Cher is “dying,” and she’s flat "broke and alone," reports the National Enquirer in a new cover story. According to the magazine, “Cher's on her last legs, and she's lost her vast fortune, which at onetime had been pegged at a whopping $305 million."

An insider tells the publication, “She's lost millions on bad investments, and she's fighting back furiously, but it may be too little, too late.” “Her medical bills have mounted over the years, and her financial situation has gotten so bad she may not have enough to cover her own funeral,” adds the outlet’s source.

After noting that Cher has heart and kidney problems, the magazine further states she’s "'haunted' by the recent deaths of showbiz friends Natalie Cole, David Bowie, Glenn Frey and Prince.” "Cher turned 70 on May 20 and it really freaked her out. She's afraid she won't make it to 71,” reveals the publication’s source.

Of course, Gossip Cop busted the National Enquirer last December when it untruthfully claimed Cher "fears she won't live to celebrate turning 70 next May." Well, she did. And she's still not close to death. Simply, the tabloid remains dead wrong. Cher's own rep exclusively tells Gossip Cop there's "not a word of truth" to the "dying" and broke" allegations.

Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes are set to have an “explosive showdown in court” over their daughter Suri Cruise, according to the new Life & Style. The magazine reports the former spouses are also going to battle over money, and it will probably get “brutal.”

An insider tells the publication that because Cruise has not seen Suri in quite some time, “Katie now wants Tom to pay.” “She’s fed up” and heading back to court, reveals the source. “Katie used to be afraid of Tom and his legal team,” notes the magazine’s source, “but she’s not the same person she was when she split from Tom four years ago. She’s taken control of her life and is a lot stronger. Tom’s in for a real fight.”

As for Cruise, a different insider tells the outlet, “He has a group of pit bull attorneys, who will insist that he’s honored the divorce agreement and pays more than a substantial amount of child support. This isn’t going to be a cakewalk legal battle for Katie, either… Tom is going to make sure the showdown isn’t easy for Katie.”

Except there isn’t any “showdown” looming. A rep for Holmes exclusively tells Gossip Cop, “There is no truth to it whatsoever.” Of course, this isn’t the first big gaffe Life & Style has made about Cruise. He infamously sued the tabloid for $50 million back in 2012, a lawsuit that was later settled out of court.
